Kelly Hart named her art consulting firm Carson Birch for two good reasons: her young sons, Birch and Carson. We met several years ago when we were helping the Idaho Commission on the Arts inventory art in public places, and we recently had lunch to catch up. Now a single mom, the former director of the Buhl Arts Council moved to Boise, looked for a full-time job, then realized it made more sense to work from home, giving her flexible hours and saving child-care expenses. |
